Introduction
Tayyar ("Tayyar", "we", "us", or the "App") is operated by Thomson TG, 352/3 Santhwanam, Puthiyathura, Trivandrum, Kerala 695526, India, and Chirag Paul Tigga. Tayyar connects daily-wage workers with people who have daily work to offer. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.
By creating an account you confirm that you have read and accepted this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use the app.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the matching service:

Account details: your name, email address, phone number, city, and whether you are looking for work or hiring (and, for hirers, an optional business name).
•
Worker profile: your skills, the days you are available, your expected daily wage, how far you are willing to travel, a short bio, an "available now" status, and an optional profile photo.
•
Location: when you choose "Use my current location", we collect your device GPS coordinates and a reverse-geocoded area label. This is used to match by distance and to show how far a job or worker is. You can decline; matching then falls back to your city.
•
Ratings: the ratings you give and receive after a completed job.
•
Notifications: a device push token, so we can notify you about matches, applications, and status changes.
•
Usage and diagnostics: in-app activity events and crash/error logs that help us keep the app working and improve it.
•
Consent record: the fact that you accepted this Policy, the time, and the policy version.
Identity verification (Aadhaar)
Identity verification is optional — you can use Tayyar fully without it. If you choose to get a "Verified" badge that other users see as a trust signal, you may submit your Aadhaar number and a photograph of your Aadhaar card.
A member of the Tayyar team reviews your submission to confirm your identity and then sets your verification status (Pending, Verified, or Rejected). Only this status is shown to other users — your Aadhaar number and card image are never displayed on your public profile or shared with other users.
Your Aadhaar number and card image are kept in a private, access-restricted record tied to your account, kept separate from your public profile on our Google Firebase infrastructure, and are used only for identity verification and fraud prevention.
Providing Aadhaar is voluntary. You may decline and continue using the app without the Verified badge, you may ask us to remove your Aadhaar data, and it is deleted when you delete your account.
How we use your information

Match workers with jobs and rank results by skills, distance, and availability.

Let the two sides contact each other once they choose to connect.
•
Build trust through ratings and the wage-guarantee feature.
•
Send you relevant notifications.
•
Keep the service safe, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

Comply with applicable law.
How your information is shared
Sharing happens by your own actions, not in the background:
•
Your public profile — name, city, skills, photo, availability, and rating — is visible to other signed-in users so they can be matched with you.
•
Your phone number is NOT public. A worker’s phone number is shared with a hirer only when the worker applies to that hirer’s job; a hirer’s phone number is shared with workers through the job they post.
•
Service providers who process data on our behalf: Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore database, and Cloud Functions) and Expo (push-notification delivery). Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure under their security and privacy terms.
•
Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users and the public.
•
We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated personal data — including any Aadhaar verification data — at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app; deletion is immediate and permanent. We may retain limited records where the law requires it or to resolve disputes.
Security
Access to your data is protected by Firebase Authentication and Firestore security rules, and your phone number is kept in an owner-only record rather than your public profile. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
•
Correct or update your information — most fields are editable directly in the app.
•
Delete your account and all associated personal data yourself at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app — or by contacting us if you cannot sign in.
•
Withdraw consent at any time. Some features may stop working — for example, without location, distance-based matching is limited.
•
Raise a grievance about how your data is handled. Please contact us first and we will work to resolve it.
Children
Tayyar is intended for adults (18 years or older) seeking or offering work. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the version and effective date shown above, and for material changes we may ask you to accept the updated Policy. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
Languages
The Tayyar app is available in several languages. This Privacy Policy is provided in English, which is the authoritative version; if there is any conflict between a translation and the English text, the English text governs.
